Today, I've decided to blog about The final assembly!

I know, exciting, right?? :P

So, the final assembly happened just yesterday! CRAZY RIGHT!?!?!?

It was SOO boring though!

My Butt was sore from sitting for so looong. (._.)

Anyways, I can't believe that it's the end of the year! I mean, I'm going to be a year 6!

(For all those year 7s and 8s viewing my blog, their probably face palming right now)

And, me and my other fellow year 5s becoming year 6s isn't the only big thing that's happening!

The year 8s are leaving!! ;-;

It's so saaadd!!

Because, I wasn't so attached to the last year 8s because I wasn't their friends.

But these ones ARE my friends!! :(

But, at least most of my friends are going to Burnside.

So hopefully I will see them!!

(Also, the reason on why I know that I'm going to Burnside, is because Mika is going, and I'm her little sister, sooo, I have to go.)

But, because Burnside has like, 1000 children, I'm not so sure if I'll see them. I don't even know if I'm going to see Mika!

So, that's a bit of a downside.

Anyways, I better not get into TOO much detail, or otherwise there won't be anything to talk about in the slide!

So, you know how I was talking about my career work on my last LAST blog?

Well, we had to write a CV on our favourite career that we researched that week.

And I chose to write a CV signing up for the job of an artist!

I think that no one was surprised on what job I picked, because I was known as the artist of the class.

Or, the TRUE artist's sister. 

Because My sister Mika, is AMAZING at art!

CREATE A SCHOOL UNIFORM!

I just absolutely LOVE these new homework activities! 

Because the students picked the activities.

They were designed by students, for students!

Anyways, my new school uniform is in the picture down below.

Here it is!

So, time to explain!

I picked the neon green because of safety reasons. 

Because the old colour, didn't really stand out. 

For example, if a kid was on the road, the driver might not see them because of the dark clothes their wearing.

Also, I still wanted to keep some of the features that the old one had.

And the white stripes on the edges are reflective.

So that it reflects the sunlight to catch the drivers attention, and hopefully get them to stop.

We brought my dog Oscar to pet day.

Although it was a big of a hassle, because he was 15, and he was deaf, AND blind!

But, the best part was that he got the prize for the...

WISEST DOG!

But, we can't bring him to pet day anymore because...

His time on this planet came to an end :(

Yep... We literally just took the whole school on a trip to town...

And as you can see that in the title that there is over a 100 children in Yaldhurst Model School.

And I don't know how the managed over a 100 children.

ESPECIALLY ON THE  ROADS. 

Because I remember that we all crossed the road.

And, the most shocking part was that no one got run over! ( 　ﾟ,_ゝﾟ)

I mean, HOW!?!?!

Well, It may have been that we walked across the road in groups, but still!

Hey there!

Today, I've decided to post a blog about the little marathon that was going on in our school

So, for the past weeks, some children participated in running a marathon.

The marathon people ran a whopping 42.195 kilometers! (I think :/ )

A Picture Paints a thousand words...

Today, for my homework, I decided pick an activity that is much less specific.

The activity was: A picture can paint a thousand words. Use this picture to inspire your blog post. 

So that picture made me think of life, and death. and the words "A picture can paint a thousand words" also inspired me. So I decided to make an animation (With no words) based on life, and death.

(I recommend that you put the slideshow on fullscreen. And also, I used animations, so press the play button down on the left corner, and once you have pressed play, don't touch ANYTHING. Because once you press play, the animation goes on by itself. It's like a youtube video)

Today, (I mean, just a minute ago) we had an author come to our class to talk about her experience in writing a book. 

 (I'm not going to tell you her name now, I'm just gonna tell you in the slide so you HAVE to take a look into the slide. Hehe, I'm so smart)

The book was called Peka and Koro. Friends of the forest.

Her books are based on native creatures in New Zealand. Like the Kereru.

Mufti day!

Today, I"ve decided to post about Mufti day! (Do you like the colours? :3) 

And if you were wondering why we had a mufti day?

Well, the year 7s and 8s are soon going to Wellington camp! (But sadly not me :( )

And on mufti day if we want to wear mufti we have to bring a gold coin donation.

 And with all that money that the school saves up, is going to be used for Wellington camp.
