T4W1 Writing

Hey there bloggers! For writing this week we have been writing letters to the places that we went in the holidays. I have been focusing on adding extra detail. Please read, enjoy and leave a comment!

Arthur’s Pass National Park Visitor Centre,
State Highway 73
Arthur's Pass
Canterbury

Dear Arthur's Pass National Park Visitor Centre,

15/10/18

my name is Hana Ki-ora, in the holidays my family and I took our caravan to the Hawdons
camping grounds, We have been at the Hawdons camping grounds multiple times.

I decided to write you this letter to tell you about how it was when I camped at the Hawdons.
First of all I had a great time when I visited during the holidays. I really like the camping grounds,
they are awesome! The scenery is beautiful, I love the view of the mountains, the trees and the rivers
It’s breathtaking. My family and I go to your camping grounds every school holidays,  each time we go
there we enjoy it! I also like how there are lots of trees and greenery there, One of my favorite things to
do in the Hawdons is climb the trees. In Arthurs Pass there is always something to do, from climbing
tall mountains to seeking the animals down below. I like it how to keep it all natural and left most of the
area alone, there is lots of wildlife wondering around. Now the Bealeys the service, it’s really nice, the
owner of the place is my Dads friend, once she gave us extra ice cream. Although really weird that
when you look on your side it is really dry, and when you look on the other side it is full of life and
greenery.

In Arthur’s Pass please can you add more walking tracks? It would be a much better
improvement! It also might be nice if you added A biking track too. We would maybe like it
if you added in a flushing toilets too. We would like a decent camping ground, it would be much
nicer along with a park for children to play on (in my opinion because I’m an 8 year old girl).
Now that’s what I will like you to improve on, otherwise you are great! Also Please
send a letter back ôヮô

From Hana

  8. Hi Hana.
The number 1 rule with writing is using capital letters in the beggining on a sentence. Remember that. Another thing, you were talking about dessert and then suddenly talk about the scenery in one sentence. Your making it sound like one have of the cake is dry and the other has plants and trees. Your lucky to have a sister like me.

Besides that, your blog is great. All of my friends including me thinks this is a very good blog considering that you only posted 4 blogs. It sounds like your having a convertation with someone. Make sure to go and see my blog, actually, I just posted one right now. I hope to see your comment there. Bye!

  9. Great blog Hana. The Hawdon area isn't really a camping area. It is just a place you can camp, so unfortunately they won't be able to build swings, slides or a flying fox there. Yes it is amazing how the there seems to be a line along the country and suddenly it is all beech forest. It is indeed brown on one side and green on the other. We will be putting on backpacks and walking into those same forest covered mountains for a few days this Christmas. I hope you are ready!
